| Dr Robin Stones
is the Court House Clinic Medical Director for
the North of England and he brings a general
dermatological expertise to his cosmetic work.
Dr Stones qualified in medicine at Manchester
University in 1983. He holds the Diploma in
Dermatology from the Royal College of Pysicians
and Surgeons of Glasgow. He has worked for 20
years in the NHS as Hospital Practitioner in
Dermatology at Trafford General Hospital and
also at Macclesfield Hospital. He has been involved
in private cosmetic dermatology for 10 years,
the last 5years as Director of Non-Surgical
business for Surgicare.
Dr Stones is a national trainer
for doctors interested in the use of lasers
in dermatology. He has been an international
speaker on various aspects of laser treatment
of the skin. He holds a BTEC Advanced Award
in Lasers, Light and Associated Aesthetic Applications,
and is a member of the teaching faculty on this
course which is the only nationally recognised
qualification for medical laser therapies.
He is a member of the British
Association of Cosmetic Doctors, the British
Medical Laser Association, the International
Dermoscopy Society, an associate member of the
British Association of Dermatologists and a
Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine.
His other medical interests lie
in the field of emergency medicine and resuscitation
and he is a UK Resuscitation Council Advanced
Life Support Instructor and Medical Director.
In 1999, as recognition of 25
years of voluntary service to the community,
he was rewarded by Royal Investiture as a Serving
Brother of the Order of St. John He has also
won the Liversedge Memorial Prize for his work
in a leprosy mission in Southern India.
