What is involved in this procedure?
Dr. Bowler's Clinics perform this treatment
by using tiny incisions to position the Lap
Band around the stomach of the patient. The
band can be inflated and adjusted via a thin
access port which we position just beneath the
skin. Saline is introduced into the Lap Band
through the port resulting in its expanding,
thus diminishing the size of the passage between
the pouch and the stomach, limiting the movement
