Blepharoplasty (Eyelid and Eyebag Surgery)
One of the most commonly performed and safest cosmetic surgical procedures, Blepharoplasty can be conducted to deal with bags under the eyelids, wrinkles and sagging upper eyelids, and can make tired and sad looking eyes refreshed.

What is involved in this surgery?
Surgeons at Dr. Bowler's Clinics perform this treatment by making an incision in the upper eyelids, withdrawing the excess fat, and tidying up any loose muscle and skin. On the lower eyelids, our clinic's expert will make a fine incision, and the skin is then lifted upwards and outwards, which will gently tension the area. Overlapping skin is then removed. Small sutures are then used to secure any incisions.

What are the risks?
Most people do not experience any complications post-surgery. Some complications, however, may include:

* Reaction to the anaesthetic
* A further operation is needed due to the eyelid not closing properly
* Glaucoma
* Haematoma
* Too much removed fat may result in a sunken appearence
* An asymmetrical result
* Infection
* Damage to the surrounding muscles and eye surface
