Eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) Stockport

Blepharoplasty (Eyelid and Eyebag Surgery)
One of the more preferred and safest cosmetic surgical treatments, Blepharoplasty (Eyelid and Eyebag Surgery) can be conducted to deal with bags under the eyelids, wrinkles and sagging upper eyelids, and can rejuvenate tired and sad looking eyes.

What is involved in this surgery?
Surgeons at Court House Clinics perform this treatment by making an incision in the upper eyelids, extracting the excess fat, and tidying up any sagging skin and muscle. For the lower eyelids, our clinic's surgeon will make a small incision, whereupon the skin is then lifted outwards and upwards, lightly tensioning the area. Extraneous skin is then taken away. All incisions are closed using very fine sutures.

What are the potential risks?
It is quite rare for patients to experience any complications post-surgery. A few risks to be aware of may consist of:

* Haematoma
* Glaucoma
* Damage to the surrounding muscles and eye surface

Glycolic face peels
Glycolic peeling is exactly what it says - a skin layer is 'peeled' off by using a chemical. A glycolic face peels strips off a layer of dead skin . This freshens the skin, gets rid of some sunspots and rough scaly patches, and reduces freckles and irregular pigmentation.

The peels are really designed to be used on the face. Hands can be peeled but the chances of the procedure leaving scars is slightly higher.For more information visit our glycolic peels page.

IPL Thread Vein Removal
Thread veins commonly affect the face, body and legs. What causes thread veins is not known, but it could be inherited, and varying degrees in temperature, and prolonged sitting or standing have been known to affect it as well.

Laser therapy is ideal for non-invasive thread vein removal, by heating the excess blood vessels from the rest. At our clinics, we make use of IPL therapy for face, nose and cheeks, and encourage the use of Sclerotherapy to treat thread veins on the body and legs. More info on our Vein Removal section.
