The recent PIP breast implant health scare that has been covered extensively in the media has brought to light the need for tighter regulation for cosmetic procedures. Alongside the investigation into the implants the government have broadened their enquiry into the regulations regarding Botox© and other cosmetic procedures. We anticipate over the next couple of months there will be increasing press coverage, some factual and no doubt some rather spurious.

As Medical Director of Court House Clinic and co-founder and fellow of the British Association of Cosmetic Doctors please let me take this opportunity to remind and reassure you that Court House Clinics is certified, under the Care Quality Commission, and is a doctor led group of clinics that cooperates fully with the government via MHRA to ensure our treatments and products comply with current safety regulation.  Court House Clinics is also registered with the Independent Healthcare Advisory Services (IHAS) and is a member of Treatments You Can Trust.

Court House Clinics use cosmetic fillers and Botox© approved by the relevant European authorities as well as the US Food and Drug Administration, the FDA. We only allow fully trained and qualified doctors to administer these treatments. We are fully aware of the medical history of these products, their efficacy and safety record and any reported problems you may read about in the media are highly unlikely to be associated with these products unless they have been administered incorrectly by non-medical personnel in a non-medical environment or there are extenuating medical circumstances.

As a group we will continue to lobby for increased regulation, as we believe our practices offer the greatest safeguard possible to our clients. Rest assured your decision to seek out our medically approved and registered practitioners was the correct one.
