The Causes of Male hair loss

Male pattern baldness is a common and progressive problem. Several factors can contribute to hair loss including stress, shock, poor circulation, diet and scalp problems, but by far the most common cause in men is hereditary male pattern baldness.  This accounts for over 90% of all known causes and is dependant on two factors, our genes and the male hormone testosterone.  Just as our genes determine factors like our  skin hair, eye and hair colour, the same is also true of our hair.  If there is a history of male pattern baldness on either side of the family, genetically programmed receptors could be present in the hair roots of offspring.  The extent of the affected area will usually be determined by the hereditary message from one or both parents.  Whatever the cause, hair loss is a common problem that can effect confidence and at Court House Clinics we have a team of specialist surgeons that can help determine the best surgical or non-surgical solution.  We provide conultations nationwide with on site hair transplant facilities in many of our clinics.
