A rhytidectomy, often referred to as a facelift, smoothes the loose skin on your face and neck by contracting the fundamental tissue and can minimise some of the more perceivable indications of ageing. Your face will look more youthful and vibrant as a result, making you look younger.

In order to reinstate a younger shape to your face, it may be necessary to reposition the deeper tissues, in a few instances. An incision made under the chin permits the extraction of fatty deposits in that area, in some instances, and flattening of the cord like structures of the underlying muscle in the neck.
