Accent radiofrequency

ACCENT XL RADIOFREQUENCY BODY CONTOURING

Accent XL uses radiofrequency technology to provide tightening, cellulite reduction and body contouring with minimal discomfort or downtime.

Radiofrequency is a technology which has been used in surgery over the last 70 years.  It has a dual effect; firstly it creates a superficial heating of the skin’s surface for instant tightening of loose skin on the body and secondly, deeper heating of the subcutaneous tissue that aids in the breakdown of fatty deposits and cellulite, whilst firming the skin.  Treatment is suitable for the arms, abdomen, buttocks and thighs.

Accent XL also offers a unique cooling device which provides patient comfort and epidermal protection.  The radiofrequency current is applied via a hand-piece which is gently moved across the treated area in circular massaging motions. As Accent XL heats the skin to around 40 degrees, the cooling device enables this treatment to be comfortable and relaxing, without the need for anaesthetic cream or down time.

We would normally recommend a course of 6-8 treatments and the treatment can also be used in combination with other non-surgical fat reducing treatments such as Smartlipo® laser lipolysis so as to enhance the effects.

Telephone our Customer Care Advisors on 0845 555 50 50 for more information or to book a consultation.

Prices from £190.  Special offers available on courses plus body contouring products available to enhance and extend results.

Frequently asked questions

This treatment is ideal for:

  • Body remodelling and cellulitus
  • Tightening areas of loose skin on the body
  • Cellulite on the arms, abdomen, buttocks, thighs

How does the treatment work?

Radiofrequency has been used for over three years in both facial skin remodelling and body remodelling. The heat produced by the system causes instant tightening of collagen and increases collagen production in the dermis. The effect is to tighten and rejuvenate the skin in the treated area. With regards to the body treatment, thermal tightening also takes place with increased local blood circulation, promotes fibrous tissue breakdown, drainage of fatty deposits into the lymphatic system and disintegration of fat cells.

The radiofrequency is applied through a hand-piece in a rapid, uninterrupted circular movement onto the surface of the skin.

How long does the treatment take and how many sessions will I require?

Your first treatment will take 45 minutes and ongoing treatments will typically be 30 minute appointments. You will usually require a course of 6 - 8 treatments body treatments performed at specific intervals. In the case of stubborn cellulite however, treatment can be applied more frequently.

Is the treatment painful?

Tolerance to the treatment is very good and there is no need for the use of topical anaesthetic creams beforehand. Patients will generally experience a warm sensation on the surface of the skin as heat builds up; however, continuous contact cooling provides additional patient comfort and epidermal protection.

Are there any side effects?

The side effects observed have been slight discomfort which is nonetheless very well tolerated, oedema (swelling) and erythema (redness) which disappears in a few hours. Post treatment care involves the application of an aloe vera gel and it is also essential that the area is protected from direct UVA and sun exposure, in particular for 24 - 48 hours immediately following treatment.

Is the treatment effective?

The immediate effect is a contraction of collagen fibres, increasing and retracting the skin tissue. It also has a progressive effect with the heat generated unleashing and an increase in new collagen producing skin remodelling. The full effect will not usually be seen for 2 - 3 months. With regards to treatment of the body, 70% of patients in trials have reported that there is an immediate variable reduction in contour measurements.

How long will the results last?

Following a course of treatment, results are expected to last 1-2 years.

Laser hair removal

Welcome to Court House Clinics. Under the guidance of Dr Patrick Bowler (well known from the television programme “10 years younger”) Court House has grown to offer a huge range of cosmetic and beauty treatments. Whilst these cover everything from high surgery treatments such as a face lift through to cosmetic injections for lines and wrinkles, in recent times laser hair removal has become one of our most popular treatments. Laser hair removal is a great way to deal with the growth of unwanted hair without having to go through the day-to-day ritual of shaving. With so many people coming to us for laser hair removal, we are now in position to offer it at a very competitive price. We also have regular promotions on it as well, for both new and existing hair removal customers.

Cosmetic Surgery

Cosmetic surgery is no longer the preserve of the rich and famous but is now accessible to everyone. This is largely due to safer techniques, reduced downtime with shorter scars, and greater awareness due to media exposure. It is also partly down to the larger number of people who have had non-surgical treatments before diving straight into cosmetic surgery.

The most common treatment that is carried out is liposuction (tummy tuck), rhinoplasty (nose reshaping), otoplasty (ear correction) and blepharoplasty (eyebag or eyelid surgery). These are often carried out in conjunction with treatments such as chin or cheek implants.

The most common surgery carried on women is breast enlargement (augmentation) and then mastopexy (breast uplift) closely followed by breast reduction surgery and face-lifts. However we are also seeing a marked increase for requests for labia and vaginal plastic surgeries.

Arguably the biggest change in recent years is the increase in demand for male cosmetic surgeries, with the most popular treatments being chest reduction, pectoral implant and testicular implants.

Non-Surgical Cosmetic Treatments

The demand for non-surgical treatments has grown at an even faster rate than cosmetic surgery. The treatments that are most in demand are laser hair removal and microdermabrasion treatments. These can mimic the effects of surgery or be used in combination with surgical procedures to enhance and prolong results.

For people with problem skin scientific breakthroughs now mean we are able to offer some of the best acne treatments available in combination with most effective anti aging treatments. For example we have invested in some of the latest acne laser treatment and when combined with chemical glycolic skin peels or perlane injections this can create similar effects as a cosmetic face-lift surgery and is very effect treatment for acne scarring.

Some of the non-surgical options provide a real alternative to surgery. A prime example of this is smart Lipo. This laser assisted liposculpture provides fast fat loss where the fat is actually dissolved by the body naturally. For small areas of localised fat this treatment is sometimes better than Liposuction as it is minimally invasive and involves little downtime.

In addition to these treatments we also offer thread vein removal, sculptra, perlane and restylane injections, skin tag removal, mole removal, cyst removal and laser tattoo removal.
