Endermologie

Endermologie® is a non-invasive treatment for cellulite and body contouring. Originally devised for injuries to muscles, Endermologie® is now used as a high tech way of massaging the skin to improve the appearance of cellulite. Using a hand piece that vigorously “rollers” the skin to target the connective tissue just beneath the surface, it is able to go much, much deeper than the therapist’s hands!
During the treatment a body stocking is worn to allow for efficacy and modesty! The treatment takes about 35 minutes with specific manoeuvres tailored to treat different cellulite types. The treatment is non-invasive and is similar to a gentle massage, although some areas with dense cellulite may be uncomfortable. Benefits include reduction of water retention and bloating, breakdown and elimination of fat cells, detoxification, cellulite reduction and the stimulation of collagen to produce stronger, firmer skin.
At Court House Clinics we believe that a combination of treatments is the best way to get results and our courses of 14 + treatments include a FREE PRIORI CoffeeBerry® Slimming Complex, clinically proven to reduce thigh circumference, and a free Body Stocking to be worn during treatment.
Prices: Single treatment £70
Course of 16 treatments £1000
Frequently asked questions
Do I require an initial consultation?
Yes, you will be required to see one of our Medical Aestheticians for an initial consultation and thorough assessment about your health and lifestyle.
In order for a full assessment to be carried out you will be required to wear your underwear. Be prepared for the Medical Aesthetician to have contact with your skin as they will have to thoroughly feel, observe and obtain a good understanding of what is going on internally and externally by pinching, flicking and feeling your skin. They will also identify target zones and areas that concern you. You will also be measured and your Body Mass Index will be worked out.
This same assessment will be performed every 4 – 6 sessions.
How do these treatments work?
The effect of treatments will vary from individual to individual. It very much depends on factors such as the person’s age and lifestyle.
The LPG Enderomolgie® machine provides a unique mechanisation of tissular rolling with the added benefit of tissular lifting which works on the connective tissue that lies beneath the surface of the skin the benefits of which are:
Movement of Fluid - moves extra cellular fluids to eliminate bloating, water retention and ultimately fat deposits
Reduction of Internal Scar Tissue - breaks down internal scarring that traps fluids which generates pockets of fat and in turn causes cellulite.
Increased Micro-circulation - increases fluid exchange in the capillary network to assist in the movement of fluids back into the vascular and lymphatic system increasing oxygen and nutrient delivery and detoxification
Stimulation of Fibroblasts - fibroblasts are the fundamental building elements of the connective tissue and when stimulated they produce collagen and elastin to reduce the signs of ageing.
Lipolysis - withdraws fatty acids from fat cells back into the circulation for metabolism.
In order to reduce cellulite the whole body needs to be worked on in order to stimulate the lymphatic system and circulation to increase metabolic exchange.
How many sessions will I require?
For a successful result you will be required to have between 16 – 20 sessions at least twice per week.
When will I see a result?
Similar to any results-driven treatment, multiple treatments are required, the quantity of which is usually determined by your age, body shape, cellulite type and what your desired outcomes and expectations are.
How long does the treatment last?
The treatment will last for approximately 45 minutes whilst the Medical Aesthetician performs the treatment with you lying on a couch in your body-stocking. Specific manoeuvres are then performed depending on the condition of your cellulite.
Pre Treatment
Before your treatment commences you will be required to slip into a body-stocking which is provided. The reason for the body-stocking is to allow for efficacy, modesty and hygiene.
Body-stockings are available for both men and women and are supplied with all treatment packages.
Is this treatment painful?
Endermologie® is a pain-free non-invasive treatment which is like a gentle massage on the skin the effects of which are generally pleasing. However if there are particularly dense cellulite areas the treatment may prove a little painful in these particular areas.
Do I have to be on a diet whilst I undergo a course of treatments?
It is advisable as with any body contouring programme to watch what you eat and ensure that you drink plenty of water so as to assist with the removal of toxins from the body. We recommend that you follow our anti-cellulite diet which will be fully explained to you at the time of consultation.
Am I required to undertake additional exercise?
It is recommended that you undertake some form of exercise during the course of treatment. As your lymphatic system is stimulated for up to 3 hours post treatment and your blood circulation for up to 6 hours post treatment, it is recommended in particular that you exercise for at least 20 minutes in order to burn fat and toxins that have been released during treatment.
Are there any possible side effects?
Occasionally a little external bruising may occur during the process and the skin may feel a little tender to touch post treatment.
Before and after

ANTI-CELLULITE DIET
Dr Patrick Bowler
Cellulite is a problem encountered by most women once they reach puberty! Although there are many theories as to the cause of cellulite, none are medically proven. However, research is showing that certain foods worsen the condition and elimination of those foods along with a sensible eating plan can significantly reduce the “orange peel” texture on the hips, thighs and buttocks.
Metabolism is the process of turning fuel in food into energy that the body can use and burning off unwanted fat. People vary considerably in their ability to burn fat. Those that have slower rates of metabolism convert more food into fat. Eating regularly actually helps to increase the metabolic rate especially if fibrous fresh foods are consumed. On the contrary, skipping meals and following very low-calorie “starvation diets” will reduce the metabolic rate. The reason is that our bodies are finely tuned so as soon as then are deprived of food, they anticipate a famine so reduce the metabolic rate to conserve energy and store fat for future starvation!
Another problem is toxins in the body, and a build-up of these waste products result in poor circulation to and from cells and a stagnation of cellular fluids. Excess saturated fat-based toxins render fat cells immobile. The body takes in many toxins, for example pesticide residues, which are hard to eliminate. These are deposited in fat cells to keep them away from vital organs. The best way to eliminate them is by improving the circulation. From a dietary point of view this can be achieved by drinking lots of water. Drinking at least a litre a day will help the body to eliminate toxins released from fatty tissue as it is burned up.
Eating the right sort of fat will also affect the cellulite. The body holds its water within the cells, which are encased in a membrane made up of essentials fats. IF YOU LACK THOSE IMPORTANT FATS IN YOUR DIET YOU LOSE THE ABILITY TO MAINTAIN THE RIGHT WATER BALANCE. The cells become waterlogged and this will give an increased “orange peel “ appearance to the skin. By strictly avoiding dietary sources of saturated fat and by eating only sources of essential oils, which can be acquired from seeds such as pumpkin and sunflower seeds, fat cells decongest and become softer.
DIET
Self-discipline and care will easily help you follow this simple diet to reduce the appearance of your cellulite.
Eat at regular meal times to boost your metabolism. We recommend breakfast, lunch and dinner with two pieces of fresh fruit as snacks. Eat plenty of high water-content food such as fruit and vegetables (organic if possible to reduce pesticide intake). The pectin found in these is an important photochemical which strengthens the immune and detoxification systems of the body. Apples are particularly good at eliminating cellulite.
Always have breakfast! Oats are the very best cereal for combating cellulite. Wholegrain of rye bread, apple, banana, peach, apricot, orange or grapefruit are also highly recommended.
Snacks can be beneficial as research shows that “grazing” – eating little and often is healthier than “gorging”- having one or two large meals a day. Again this comes from stimulating the metabolism. Eating foods high in fibre help to stabilise blood sugar levels and reduce hunger. Ideal snack fruits: APPLES, BERRIES, CHERRIES, GRAPEFRUIT, GRAPES, PEACHES, PEARS, PLUMS, ORANGES, TANGERINES.
Reduce the intake of stimulants e.g. Tea, coffee, chocolate and alcohol. They raise your blood glucose level, increasing your insulin, so that the glucose is turned into fat. Try herbal teas.
Reduce the intake of saturated fats found in meat and dairy products, but more importantly switch to essential fats found in fish, seeds and their oils. Seeds also contain vitamins, calcium, magnesium, zinc, minerals, protein and fibre. Those seeds recommended are pumpkin, linseed, sunflower and sesame.
Avoid foods with a high salt content such as ready-made meals, processed meats and cheeses. Also, avoid adding salt to your food. As salt levels rise in the body, fluids are made less concentrated by retaining more water which gives rise to fluid retention.
Drink at least 1-2 litres of water per day.
