At Court House Clinics we now offer the revolutionary fat reduction treatment called Smartlipo which is available with aspiration and is an effective alternative to invasive liposuction. The treatment is ideal for: -

  • Double Chins & Jowls
  • Love Handles & Upper Arms
  • Buttocks, Hips & Tummy
  • Ankles, Knees, Inner & Outer Thighs
  • Male Breasts

SmartLipo can treat such areas that are usually treated by liposuction, but since it requires no recovery time the whole treatment can be carried out in less than two hours making this a viable alternative to the surgeon's knife. The procedure can be carried out as a day procedure, and it causes minimal discomfort and bruising and side effects are very rare.

SmartLipo is a revolutionary concept in laser assisted liposculpture. The procedure can be carried out as a day procedure, causes minimal discomfort, bruising and side effects and is very safe. Some procedures even take under an hour to carry out and most importantly the treatment is very effective at removing unwanted fatty areas!

SmartLipo is a minor laser lipolysis procedure that works on areas of unwanted fat such as love handles, upper arms, knees and double chins; in fact almost anywhere that you would like to remove excess fat. A fine cannula is used to deliver a safe, powerful laser to heat the fat cells, causing them to break down.

The fat deposits are simply absorbed and pass out of the body naturally. Only a very small incision is required for this treatment with very few of the side effects associated with liposuction; the entire procedure is performed under a local anesthetic.

You will require a full consultation with one of our cosmetic doctors specialising in this technique. The doctor will assess you for your suitability to treatment and devise an individual treatment programme for you. On the day of your procedure you will be looked after by our skilled medical team who will ensure your comfort and well being every step of the way. SmartLipo is often referred to as a lunchtime procedure so following treatment you will be able to resume normal activities immediately but you will be given a full aftercare programme to ensure that you get the best out of your procedure.

Frequently asked questions

Do I require an initial consultation?

You will require a full consultation with one of our cosmetic doctors specialising in this technique. The doctor will take your full medical history, assess you for your suitability to treatment and devise an individual treatment programme for you. On the day of your procedure you will be looked after by our skilled medical team who will ensure your comfort and well being every step of the way.

How does the treatment work?

SmartLipo is a laser lipolysis procedure which uses a fine 1mm cannula to deliver a safe, powerful laser to heat the fat cells to 45 degrees, causing them to break down. The fat deposits are simply absorbed and pass out of the body naturally over a period of 12 - 16 weeks

Is it safe?

Yes it is, because it targets fat cells specifically, with no danger of damaging neighbouring muscles or nerves.

How long does the treatment take and how many sessions will I require?

One, two or three areas can be treated however only fat equivalent to the size of a man’s fist can be treated in one single session. Quite often one session will be sufficient for the size indicated. A face and neck treatment can take about 45 minutes, whereas a larger tummy area may take 2 hours.

Is the treatment painful?

Pain thresholds vary from person to person, however as local anaesthetic is applied to the area to be treated, the procedure is virtually painless. Some patients may feel some tugging and pulling, but no pain. Most people do not need any post-procedure pain relief, but simple paracetamol or ibuprofen is sufficient

Are there any side effects?

Only a very small incision is required for this treatment with very few of the side effects associated with liposuction; the entire procedure is performed under a local anesthetic. As a result of the incision, there will be more than one scar, depending on the areas treated. Smart Lipo is often referred to as a lunchtime procedure; following treatment you will be able to resume normal activities immediately, but you will be given a full aftercare programme to ensure that you get the best out of your procedure.

Is the treatment effective?

Smartlipo is perfect for eliminating small volume areas resistant to diet and exercise. The overall result depends on the severity of the area to be treated. Following treatment you will be required to where a compression garment for 2 days to 2 weeks to assist in fat drainage, the exact length of time depends on the area being treated. Post operative results can be seen as soon as 1 - 2 weeks, but dramatic improvements are usually seen within approximately 6 weeks of treatment with final results in about 4 months.

How long will the results last?

Smartlipo is a very effective treatment, however, like any weight loss programme a sensible diet and lifestyle is necessary to maintain condition and complimentary treatments such as Accent Radiofrequency may improve results.

Laser hair removal

Welcome to Court House Clinics. Under the guidance of Dr Patrick Bowler (well known from the television programme “10 years younger”) Court House has grown to offer a huge range of cosmetic and beauty treatments. Whilst these cover everything from high surgery treatments such as a face lift through to low surgery treatments as Botox, in recent times laser hair removal has become one of our most popular treatments. Laser hair removal is a great way to deal with the growth of unwanted hair without having to go through the day-to-day ritual of shaving. With so many people coming to us for laser hair removal, we are now in position to offer it at a very competitive price. We also have regular promotions on it as well, for both new and existing hair removal customers.

Cosmetic Surgery

Cosmetic surgery is no longer the preserve of the rich and famous but is now accessible to everyone. This is largely due to safer techniques, reduced downtime with shorter scars, and greater awareness due to media exposure. It is also partly down to the larger number of people who have had non-surgical treatments before diving straight into cosmetic surgery.

The most common treatment that is carried out is liposuction (tummy tuck), rhinoplasty (nose reshaping), otoplasty (ear correction) and blepharoplasty (eyebag or eyelid surgery). These are often carried out in conjunction with treatments such as chin or cheek implants.

The most common surgery carried on women is breast enlargement (augmentation) and then mastopexy (breast uplift) closely followed by breast reduction surgery and face-lifts. However we are also seeing a marked increase for requests for labia and vaginal plastic surgeries.

Arguably the biggest change in recent years is the increase in demand for male cosmetic surgeries, with the most popular treatments being chest reduction, pectoral implant and testicular implants.

Non-Surgical Cosmetic Treatments

The demand for non-surgical treatments has grown at an even faster rate than cosmetic surgery. The treatments that are most in demand are laser hair removal and microdermabrasion treatments. These can mimic the effects of surgery or be used in combination with surgical procedures to enhance and prolong results.

For people with problem skin scientific breakthroughs now mean we are able to offer some of the best acne treatments available in combination with most effective anti aging treatments. For example we have invested in some of the latest acne laser treatment and when combined with chemical glycolic skin peels or perlane injections this can create similar effects as a cosmetic face-lift surgery and is very effect treatment for acne scarring.

Some of the non-surgical options provide a real alternative to surgery. A prime example of this is smart Lipo. This laser assisted liposculpture provides fast fat loss where the fat is actually dissolved by the body naturally. For small areas of localised fat this treatment is sometimes better than Liposuction as it is minimally invasive and involves little downtime.

In addition to these treatments we also offer thread vein removal, sculptra, perlane and restylane injections, skin tag removal, mole removal, cyst removal and laser tattoo removal.
