How do I know whether this treatment is suitable for me?
You will be advised at your initial consultation with our experience cosmetic dermatologists on the suitability of such treatment for you personally.
-
Is the skin rolling process painful or make you bleed?
The Derma Roller should not make your skin bleed although the surface of the skin may appear a little red following treatment but this will subside after an hour or so. You will feel a gentle tickling sensation as the Derma Roller moves over the surface of your skin, but this will not be particularly painful even on the more sensitive areas of your face. There may be a slight sensitivity like mild sunburn following treatment.
-
Can the Derma Roller remove acne scars / surgery scars?
As well as improving scarring from acne the Derma Roller is able to reduce the appearance of surgery scars, pitted skin, large pores and scars that have remained following chicken pox.

Derma Roller
Derma Roller is a natural skin rejuvenation treatment. This barrel like roller is comprised of tiny micro needles that are rolled across the skin creating minuscule pin pricks that encourage the skin to regenerate itself, promoting collagen production to fill wrinkles and depressed acne or surgical scars, minimise pores and reduce pigmentation and even reduce cellulite and stretch marks on the body.
The stimulus provided by the Derma Roller is less aggressive than traditional skin resurfacing treatments. It stimulates the skin’s natural healing response without causing unnecessary trauma to the top layer of the skin.
It can be used alone or in conjunction with other treatments such as peels and micro-dermabrasion. It is also suitable for stretch marks.
