Tattoo removal

In case forever is just too long?
-
Can any type of tattoo be treated successfully?
We can provide effective laser treatment to remove most tattoos although we do not guarantee results. Tattoos do vary greatly in size, colour and density and some respond easily to treatment than others. Some colours are very difficult to treat and these include white, yellow, orange, some reds and green tattoos containing fluorescent or acrylic dyes.
-
How many sessions will I require?
Tattoos generally require 8-10 treatments performed at regular intervals. To ensure optimum success, an interval of 4-6 weeks is normal between treatment sessions.
-
Is the treatment painful?
The treatment can be uncomfortable; usually a ‘stinging’ sensation may be felt rather like an elastic band being snapped against the skin. If required however, a local anaesthetic cream may be applied to sensitive areas or simply to help you feel more relaxed.
-
Will there be any scarring?
Unlike other treatment methods, with laser treatments the surface of the skin is neither cut nor burnt therefore the results cause minimal permanent scar tissue. However, some loss of pigment (hypo-pigmentation) or excess pigment (hyper-pigmentation) of the treated area may be evident after completion of a course of treatment. This will normally be expected to fade after 6 months after which, normal skin colouring and texture should be regenerated. A small number of people may find these changes permanent.
-
How much can I expect to pay for treatment?
The cost will vary depending on the size of the tattoo; generally they are priced as a small, medium or large tattoo and can range from £50 - £200 per treatment.

Tattoo Removal Process
The process of removing a tattoo is fairly simple. The laser works by producing pulses of light that easily pass through the layers of skin near the surface until they are absorbed by the pigments in the tattoo itself. This in turn causes the pigment (colours) of the tattoo pigment to break up and fragment into smaller particles, which then the body processes it via its immune system. Our lasers function off a wide range of frequencies that can target a wide range of colours without damaging the surround areas of skin. The advantage of laser vs tattoo removal cream becomes evidient when people want to remove the tattoo in its entirety. For the treatment of laser tattoo removal, cream is applied to the area inorder to numb the area which is about to be treated.
