Now at Court House Clinics we are using a new method of micro- dermabrasion – DiamondTome™ This is a surface treatment for the skin where the very uppermost layer is removed to reveal fresh new skin. This rejuvenating technique will leave your skin supple and glowing.
The process is administered by the use of unique diamond tipped wands that can smooth and polish the skin’s surface. Dead and dull skin cells are safely and systematically removed. The result is a natural luminous finish. Fine lines can be reduced and the gentle vacuuming action can reveal the younger looking skin’s layer without pain or inconvenience.
Micro-dermabrasion is also effective for shallow, superficial scars. The diamond tipped wand removes and vacuums away the surface layer of skin while promoting new collagen formation. You may see that skin appears red for a short time and a course of treatment will be required for the full effect to be achieved. Frequently asked questions
How does the treatment work?
This treatment is a non-surgical procedure and is completely non-invasive. Normal activities can be immediately resumed following treatment and this can be performed in your lunch hour with no interruption to your working day. There is no irritation to the skin and there will be no residue of dead skin remaining after treatment, only a renewed healthy glow to your skin will be apparent.
A DiamondTome™ wand which gently exfoliates the skin’s surface with natural diamond chips while vacuuming away dead skin cells is used solely during treatment. No additional abrasives are used which may irritate your skin or cause environmental harm.
How many sessions will I require
The recommendation is for 4-10 sessions at regular intervals over 10 – 14 days taking into account the condition requiring treatment. Each treatment lasts for about 45 minutes. This treatment may be combined with other skin treatments such as Priori skin peels, Omnilux™ red or light therapy or on its own as a rejuvenating treatment for dull and tired looking skin.
How much discomfort will I experience?
The extent of the effectiveness of the treatments is determined by the adjustable vacuum and varying coarseness of the Diamondtome™ wands, but all such resurfacing treatments are painless.
Are there any possible side effects?
It may be that your skin will look flushed straight after treatment but generally this will settle and disappear after 10 – 30 minutes. There may be a warm tingling sensation for the first 24 hours, but this will not reoccur.
How long do the results last?
The first treatment will reveal and fresh radiant glow to your whole complexion and this will continue to improve throughout the treatment programme. Fine lines, wrinkles and age spots will be reduced and many patients have noted that their skin feels more soft and smooth and younger looking.
These enviable results can be maintained for longer with the use of professional homecare products. Priori Coffeeberry, Advanced AHA or Idebenone skin care ranges are most beneficial together with regular micro skin resurfacing every 4- 6 weeks to maintain the high standard of rejuvenation that has been achieved.
