Varicose Vein Chester
Regular veins function by allowing blood to travel to the heart through an arrangement of one-way valves. A varicose vein occurs when a valve malfunctions, causing blood to gather in the vein. These unattractive veins are most common in the legs, are primarily inherited, and, although experienced by older men, often appear earlier in women, for instance, mid-pregnancy. Typical symptoms of varicose veinsaside from the prominence of the leg’s veins, are: irritation, a heavy feeling in the legs, swollen ankles with ulceration, and skin discolouration.
Foam sclerotherapy is a more refined method of varicose vein treatment that has been widely recognised for years as the most direct therapy. Originally, the vein was injected with a fortifying solution which hardened, thus blocking the vein from blood getting through. Instead of pure liquid, foam is now used, as the results are more effective and are longer lasting. Once the treatment is complete, most of our patients are able to drive and continue their usual daily routine.
