Varicose Vein Haywards Heath

Regular veins operate by allowing blood to travel to the heart through a system of one-way valves. A varicose vein occurs when a valve malfunctions, which causes blood to collect within the vein. These large veins are most common in the legs, are received through genetics, and, although experienced by older men, sometimes appear earlier in women, for example, during pregnancy. Common indications of varicose veinsapart from the prominence of the leg’s veins, are: irritation, heaviness in the legs, mild ankle swelling and ulceration, and discolouration of the skin.

Foam sclerotherapy is a better method of treatment for varicose veins and has been universally accepted for quite some time now as the most effective therapy. Originally, a liquid solution was injected into the vein that thickened, therefore blocking the vein from blood entering. Foam is now used, rather than pure liquid, since the results are greater and last longer. Once the treatment is complete, most patients are able to continue their regular daily activities.
