Varicose Vein Yorkshire
Ordinary veins work by allowing blood to travel to the heart through a structure made up of of valves. Varicose veins happen when a valve ceases to function properly, which causes blood to gather in the vein. These enlarged veins are most common in the legs, are primarily inherited, and, whilst experienced by older men, sometimes happen earlier in women, for example, mid-pregnancy. Natural symptoms of varicose veinsaside from the swelling of the veins in legs, are: irritation, heaviness in the legs, mild ankle swelling, and skin discolouration.
Foam sclerotherapy is a more refined method of varicose vein treatment and has been extensively recognised for some time as the most desired therapy. In the past, the vein was injected with a liquid solution which thickened and thus blocked the vein from blood getting through. Foam is now used, rather than pure liquid, since the results are more effective and are longer lasting. Once the treatment is complete, most patients are able to drive and return to their usual daily routine.
