The virus can stay inactive for quite a while once it has been caught and can develop just months from initial contact. They are very resilient and no treatment can promise to remove them entirely, but they can be controlled more effectively through a treatment called Cryotherapy which involves the use of liquid nitrogen to freeze the skin.
