Most commonly treated areas with Dermal Fillers:

-
How do Dermal Fillers work?
A simple injection placed under the skin at dermis level with a very fine needle, replenishes the skin’s natural volume, enhancing lips, smoothing out lines and wrinkles thus helping to erase the signs of ageing.
-
Is this treatment painful?
The injections may prick a little, but normally no anaesthesia is needed for wrinkles and folds. For the more sensitive, an anaesthetic cream is normally applied 1 – 2 hours prior to treatment to numb the area. For some treatments a dental block is advised. If Juvderm® Ultra is used however, this is the first dermal filler of its kind that already contains a local anaesthetic and therefore there will be no requirement for additional topical anaesthetic with this product.
-
How long do the results last?
Results of these treatments are immediate and the effects can last anything from three to twelve months, depending on which product is being used. The general length of time is specific to each individual.
All of the dermal filler treatments are non-permanent and are absorbed naturally over time – it’s your choice when to have further treatment to maintain the effect.
-
Are there any side effects associated with Dermal Fillers?
Occasionally some people may experience symptoms such as slight swelling, redness, itching or tenderness in the treated area but these reactions are quite normal and usually disappear within a one to six days. If the lips are being treated however, initial swelling may last longer for up to a week and they may look somewhat uneven. This means that the result directly after the treatment should not be looked upon as the final result. It is very important to massage the treated areas for up to seven days afterwards to ensure an even appearance.
-
How long does the treatment take?
The treatment takes approximately fifteen minutes, results are immediate.

What is non-animal, stabilised hyaluronic acid (NASHA)?
All of the products used at Court House Clnics contain non-animal, stabilised hyaluronic acid. Because hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in the body and is present in all living organisms it means that once in the skin, it works together with the body's own hyaluronic acid and joins forces to create volume. No pre-testing is required and products can be administered without fear of transmitting diseases from animals.
Restylane, Perlane & Juvderm Ultra for lines and wrinkles
When you look in the mirror and see your first facial wrinkles you are recognizing the first visible signs of the ageing process. Facial Wrinkles and creases begin to appear as the underlying collagen and elastin figures begin to break down and wear out after the age of 25. While this breakdown is part of the natural ageing process, it can also result from excessive squinting, frowning, smoking or sun damage.
Court House Clinics offer an extensive range of dermal fillers which can be used to improve the appearance of expression lines and scarring. These products are all hyaluronic acid based (non-animal fillers) which are used to replenish lost volume in the skin, smoothing out lines and wrinkles thus helping to erase the signs of ageing without resorting to surgery. We also offer lip enhancement and “smile boost” treatments.
Our product range includes: -
- Juvederm® Ultra
- Restylane®
- Restylane Lipp®
- Perlane®
