How does the treatment work?
This is a non-invasive, non-surgical procedure and requires no downtime after treatment therefore treatments can be performed in your lunch hour. Normal activities may be resumed immediately. Your skin will have a radiant glow and be free of irritation and loose particles.
Treatments are performed using a DiamondTome™ wand which removes the upper most layer of skin by gently exfoliating the skin with natural diamond chips whilst at the same time vacuuming the dead skin cells away. No loose abrasives are used to contaminate you or the environment.
How many sessions will I require
A course of 4 – 10 sessions at regular intervals of 10 – 14 days is recommended depending on the condition being treated and treatments typically last 45 minutes. To obtain optimum results, this treatment may also be used in conjunction with other treatments such as Priori skin peels and Omnilux red & plus light therapy or just as a quick pick-me-up for tired, dull skins.
How much discomfort will I experience?
Micro skin resurfacing treatments using the Diamondtome™ system are painless yet effective. The degree of effectiveness is controlled by a widely adjustable vacuum in conjunction with varying coarseness of the DiamondTome™ wands.
Are there any possible side effects?
Your skin may look slightly flushed immediately after treatment but for most people skin should return to normal in 10 – 30 minutes. Occasionally the skin may feel warm to the touch and be slightly “tingly” for up to 24 hours following treatment.
How long do the results last?
After the first treatment the skin will have a fresh, radiant glow. Improvement will continue throughout the treatment programme and generally fine lines, wrinkles and age spots become greatly diminished and many patients report that their skin seems to be softer, smoother and younger looking.
Results can be maintained with the correct use of professional homecare products such as Priori Coffeeberry, Advanced AHA or Idebenone skin care ranges and regular maintenance micro skin resurfacing every 4 – 6 weeks.
