Breform

Is gravity bringing you down?

  1. Will there be a lot of scars?

This depends on the type of Breform™ procedure that is best suited to you; the surgeon will confirm this with you on consultation and discuss scarring with you. However, it is important to remember that because the Breform™ device is within the breast taking up the weight of the breast tissue, you do not have any stress on the skin of the breast, so patients are definitely left with superior scarring.

  2. Is it possible to feel the Breform™ under the skin once it is inserted?

No you cannot feel a Breform™ under the skin.

  3. What type of material is used and how safe is it?

A Breform™ is made of polyester which has been employed in reconstructive surgery for over 40 years. The Breform™ device is CE Registered (CE Registration Number : LNE/G-MED CE 0459) made from a medical polyester mesh. Long terms studies have been carried out and have shown this material is safe for use in the human body. There is no significant concern or body rejections involved.

  4. What will happen if I fall pregnant?

It is recommended that you do not fall pregnant with a Breform™, for it is unpredictable to what size the breast might increase during the pregnancy, which may jeopardise the Breform™ result. (Most probably the Breform™ will not affect the lactation function of the breast.)

  5. Will I lose any sensation or feeling in my breast or nipple?

There is a minimal chance that you might lose the sensation in your nipple after a Breform™ implant. However this loss of sensation is usually temporary with normal sensation returning to the nipple within 6 months.

  6. Will my breasts droop again as my skin stretches with age?

No, there should be no droop after the procedure provided that you do not undergo excessive weight gain or loss. Patients are therefore once again reminded to be at their ideal, stable weight before undergoing surgery. Breform™ restores breasts to their natural, youthful shape.

  7. Who should consider this procedure?

Women with normal size but droopy breasts will have the best result. If your breasts are very large it is wise to consider a breast reduction simultaneously.

  8. How long will I have to spend in hospital?

The amount of time spent in the hospital depends on the patients requirements, but it is usually one day. The actual procedure takes between 2.5-6 hours. It is recommended that you spend at least one night in hospital after the surgery; however this does vary from patient to patient and surgeon to surgeon.

  9. I am worried about possible complications with surgery. Have any complications arisen from Breform™ surgery?

No major complications have been reported with the Breform™ procedure. Minor complications have been reported post-operatively but these resolved spontaneously.

  10. What about normal breast health and lump inspections? Does the Breform™ still allow a woman to have her breasts examined?

A Breform™ does not impair breast examinations or surgical procedures; therefore, you can still feel for lumps. Lump removal can be carried out without any problems.

  11. Aside from normal feelings and sensations in the breast, will the breast still function normally such as during breastfeeding?

It is not recommended that you fall pregnant with a Breform™ device. However, should it happen, a Breform™ should not affect the secretion of milk.

Testimonial

My breasts became bulky on the outer side and shapeless and flat around the chest area, without a bra, they were hanging down as far as the bottom of my ribs, with the nipples misshapen and crooked. I felt abnormal and I hated my reflection. I'd leave changing rooms in tears because low-cut tops looked so bad. There is an amazing difference more than what I have seen before on any before and after pictures! Not feeling any pain or even very much swelling.Claire Coleman, Age 42

Laser hair removal

Welcome to Court House Clinics. Under the guidance of Dr Patrick Bowler (well known from the television programme “10 years younger”) Court House has grown to offer a huge range of cosmetic and beauty treatments. Whilst these cover everything from high surgery treatments such as a face lift through to cosmetic injections for lines and wrinkles, in recent times laser hair removal has become one of our most popular treatments. Laser hair removal is a great way to deal with the growth of unwanted hair without having to go through the day-to-day ritual of shaving. With so many people coming to us for laser hair removal, we are now in position to offer it at a very competitive price. We also have regular promotions on it as well, for both new and existing hair removal customers.

Cosmetic Surgery

Cosmetic surgery is no longer the preserve of the rich and famous but is now accessible to everyone. This is largely due to safer techniques, reduced downtime with shorter scars, and greater awareness due to media exposure. It is also partly down to the larger number of people who have had non-surgical treatments before diving straight into cosmetic surgery.

The most common treatment that is carried out is liposuction (tummy tuck), rhinoplasty (nose reshaping), otoplasty (ear correction) and blepharoplasty (eyebag or eyelid surgery). These are often carried out in conjunction with treatments such as chin or cheek implants.

The most common surgery carried on women is breast enlargement (augmentation) and then mastopexy (breast uplift) closely followed by breast reduction surgery and face-lifts. However we are also seeing a marked increase for requests for labia and vaginal plastic surgeries.

Arguably the biggest change in recent years is the increase in demand for male cosmetic surgeries, with the most popular treatments being chest reduction, pectoral implant and testicular implants.

Non-Surgical Cosmetic Treatments

The demand for non-surgical treatments has grown at an even faster rate than cosmetic surgery. The treatments that are most in demand are laser hair removal and microdermabrasion treatments. These can mimic the effects of surgery or be used in combination with surgical procedures to enhance and prolong results.

For people with problem skin scientific breakthroughs now mean we are able to offer some of the best acne treatments available in combination with most effective anti aging treatments. For example we have invested in some of the latest acne laser treatment and when combined with chemical glycolic skin peels or perlane injections this can create similar effects as a cosmetic face-lift surgery and is very effect treatment for acne scarring.

Some of the non-surgical options provide a real alternative to surgery. A prime example of this is smart Lipo. This laser assisted liposculpture provides fast fat loss where the fat is actually dissolved by the body naturally. For small areas of localised fat this treatment is sometimes better than Liposuction as it is minimally invasive and involves little downtime.

In addition to these treatments we also offer thread vein removal, sculptra, perlane and restylane injections, skin tag removal, mole removal, cyst removal and laser tattoo removal.
