How does it work?
Fillers vary in their composition, but the most commonly used material is hyaluronic acid – a naturally occurring substance within the body. Prior to treatment, your nose will be cleansed with an antiseptic. A local anaesthetic cream can be applied to the treatment area to minimise discomfort. Using a fine needle, the doctor will then inject the Dermal Filler into the pre-selected treatment sites. Once injected, the results will be immediately visible. The effects will be long-lasting, but not permanent. Dermal Filler products are biodegradable, which means they will gradually be metabolised by your body. Future treatments will sometimes be necessary to maintain results.
Is this treatment painful?
The Dermal Filler can be combined with lidocaine (a local anaesthetic) to minimise procedural discomfort. Most patients report little or no pain during treatment.
How long do the results last?
Results of this treatment is immediate and the effects usually last 12 months on the nose area, but this depends which product is being used. The general length of time is specific to each individual. All of the Dermal Fillers treatments are non-permanent and are absorbed naturally over time – it’s your choice when and if you have further treatment to maintain the effect.*
Are there any side effects associated with Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty?
All of the fillers we use have been clinically tested and are considered safe. Side effects are uncommon but may include hypersensitivity or mild bruising, swelling or redness at the injection site. All of these side effects will be discussed in-depth during your consultation.
How long does the treatment take?
The length of your treatment will depend on how 1much Filler is being administered. Most treatment sessions can be completed in less than 30 minutes. There is no “downtime” associated with treatment and you will be able to resume normal activities immediately.
What is non-animal, stabilised hyaluronic acid (NASHA)?
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance within the body, responsible for boosting skin elasticity and hydration. As we age, our body’s production of hyaluronic acid begins to deplete, resulting in visible signs of ageing. Most are composed of non-animal stabilised hyaluronic acid, a crystal clear gel that is biocompatible with the naturally occurring hyaluronic acid in your body.
