Hydro Plus Microdermabrasion

Whether your skin has been damaged by ageing, acne breakouts or is simply in need of some intense care and hydration, revitalise your complexion with the Hydro Plus treatment. This adaptable treatment applies specially formulated serums deep into the skin as it polishes the surface, encouraging healthy cell renewal while addressing specific skin conditions.* Hydro Plus is similar to microdermabrasion with additional nourishing infusions to truly and deeply cleanse and rejuvenate the skin. During the treatment a nurse or medical aesthetician will apply a handheld applicator to your freshly cleansed skin, buffing the surface with a gentle sweeping motion. This removes dead and dry cells to allow the serum to penetrate significantly deeper, providing a host of healing and rejuvenating properties.* The treatment is safe and completely painless. You will not need to take time out for your skin to recover, although it may look a little flushed for 10-30 minutes. For some patients improvements to the skin can be achieved from the very first session, but for optimal results multiple applications may be required. How does Hydro Plus work?
A typical Hydro Plus session can be performed in less than an hour, with no “downtime”. Hydro Plus is minimally invasive and as a result does not require the use of anaesthesia. Your face will be cleansed prior to treatment. Using a diamond tip wand, your aesthetician will exfoliate the top layer of your skin. At the same time a mild suction will be present as the Microdermabrasion system gently removes dead skin cells. Your aesthetician will then follow this with the Hydro Plus, allowing the serum to be applied through the wand and to deeply penetrate into the skin. The healing process brings with it increased collagen production and newer skin cells that look and feel more polished.* Visible skin imperfections such as sun damage, blemishes and wrinkles are diminished.* Immediate improvements will be visible, but more than one treatment may be necessary to maximise results. In most cases, a course of 4-6 treatment sessions will be recommended.
Is the treatment painful?
Treatment is virtually painless, though you may experience some slight pulling on your skin.
Are there any side effects associated with Hydro Plus?
There is generally no “downtime” associated with Hydro Plus. It is possible that you may experience some temporary changes in skin pigmentation or that your skin will feel as though it has slight sunburn. Additionally, you may experience some mild swelling or bruising. All of these side effects are temporary and should resolve within a couple of days. All potential risks will be discussed in detail during your consultation.
How long does the treatment take?
A typical treatment session takes between 30 and 60 minutes. More than one session may be needed to reach optimal results. Treatment sessions are often spaced 1-2 weeks apart.
What areas can be treated?
Hydro Plus is most commonly used as a facial rejuvenation tool, but other areas may benefit from medical-grade exfoliation and intensive serums. Acne prone areas such as the chest or back, as well as dry or flaky regions such as the feet may see significant improvements.* Our medical aestheticians will be able to provide you with more information on the day of your consultation.
How long will the results last?
The results will be long-lasting, but not permanent. Routine treatments will be needed to maintain your new look. Combining Hydro Plus treatment with other treatments such as OmniluxTM light therapy and Priori® skin peels will enhance and prolong the duration of your results. We also carry a line of skin rejuvenation products such as PRIORI® Advanced AHA and Coffeeberry® NatureceuticalsTM, which can help you maintain your results at home.
How much can I expect to pay for Hydro Plus?
At Courthouse Clinics, prices start at just £55 per session. Package discounts may be available. Payment options will be discussed in further depth at your consultation.
