Botox Approved for Overactive Bladder

MS Trust reports today that, “The Scottish Medicines Consortium (SMC) has approved botulinum toxin type A (Botox) as a treatment for urinary incontinence in adults who have an overactive bladder due to multiple sclerosis, where the current medication has not been effective.”

Discussions over Botox for incontinence have been brewing for some time, and look set to continue beyond Scotland now.
